In The Blink Of An Eye

I blinked and Summer 2012 was over.

I blinked and my friend Lee had triple-bypass surgery. I blinked again and it was PSR Orientation Week 2012. Then I blinked yet again and 4M Ministries (my ministerial cadre) had done our first full-on production effort for the new students and it went wildly well.

And then, I blinked one final time... and remembered when I used to dream that I would slip the surly bonds of Earth. Thank you NASA. Thank you Dryden. Thank you Ames. Thank you Houston. Thank you Canaveral. Thank you White Sands. A million times, from the center of the heart of this man who was once a boy dreaming of space-flight because of you and those like you... thank you.

And thank you to those who gave their lives in service of space exploration, no matter what their national origin might have been, so that humankind might one day leave the cradle of our birth and reach toward the stars.
